He draws on his previous work experiences in public accounting as a Certified Public Accountant and as a tax attorney to negotiate and litigate complex financial issues in child custody and matrimonial cases. Michael was recently approved to serve as a mediator in divorce cases in the Circuit Court of Cook County Illinois, Domestic Relations Division, for both child-related and financial disputes. In Cook County, divorce and other family law cases are handled by the judges of the Domestic Relations Division. The requirements to being a court-certified mediator in the Cook County Domestic Relations Division include submission of a written application that is reviewed and approved by Cook County’s Domestic Relations’ Division Mediator Screening Committee and completion of a minimum of 40 hours of approved mediation training. After completing this process, Michael is now a court-certified mediator.
